“Ample” is the word here. At 54 inches tall, this stately chair certainly has ample height. The seat itself is up nearly 3½ feet from the ground, with a dowel footrest midway.

It’s got ample width, too. The chair seat is nearly 2 feet across – for any ample-width issues any of us might have ourselves!

Ample beauty: Natural-finish cumaru, which ages to a lovely silver-gray. ’Nuff said.

Ample comfort: Though hand-woven from synthetic DuraCord rope, the chair seat and back are truly as soft as cotton. Chair arms, amply wide, flare at the ends in a soft slope sumptuously designed for cupping hands around. The experience is like sitting in some kind of actual throne, high up above the ordinary!

More-than-ample durability: Cumaru is among the hardest, densest woods on Earth, unfriendly to fire, virtually nonabsorbent and of no interest to boring insects. DuraCord rope is defiant to the elements, and resistant to rot, mold, mildew, fading and staining.
